Inside this issue:
What We Believe
The program, activities, and ministries of Montco Bible Fellowship are based on and consistent with the following beliefs:
The Bible is the Word of God, the Mind of God, and is the only infallible and authoritative record that we have which reveals the plan of God for the world.
There is ONE God who has manifested Himself in THREE persons: the Father, The Son (who is the Word made flesh), & the Holy Spirit.
The fall of man and his lost relationship with God which makes necessary the new birth through confession and belief in Jesus Christ
The virgin birth of Jesus Christ; his Deity; His sinless life; His substitutionary death; His physical resurrection from the grave, His ascension to the Father, and His personal and imminent return in power & glory.
The rapture of the body of Christ into everlasting life, and the ultimate establishment of Christ's glorious kingdom. The fate of everlasting separation from God to those who do not accept Jesus as Savior & Lord.
The present day supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, indwells all true believers, sets them apart from the world, and empowers them for His service.

"Making Disciples That Love God, and Share His Love With the World"
Newsletter of
Montco Bible Fellowship
From the Pastor’s Desk...
I have enjoyed studying and teaching on prayer over the past several weeks. I have also been challenged by the two books on prayer that have been recommended reading this year. If you have not read these books then I encourage you to start reading one today. Many of our ministry groups have been discussing the books and encouraging members to read them. The theme that we have adopted for 2010 is a truth that we must remember, “Prayer is the pathway to progress”. We will not be successful in accomplishing our mission of making disciples that love God and share His love with the world if we don’t remain faithful in our prayers.
Therefore, I ask you to pray for the salvation of many who are lost in sin and in need of a Savior. The salvation of spouses, relatives, and friends is an act of God and requires the Holy Spirit to move in their hearts. We, however, have the privilege and responsibility to cooperate with the Holy Spirit as co-laborers as we share our faith and invite them to Christ. A growing church is a sign that people are getting saved. Please pray that God will help you reach at least that “Just One”.
Another prayer request I want to remind you of is for the installation of the elevator in our building. The deacons and the Expansion Team have worked very hard to recommend a contractor and develop plans for the elevator. The contract has been signed and the preliminary work has begun. Please pray that we will be able to raise the funds, and not deplete our savings nor enter into too much debt. To this end, we have asked each family to commit to make a financial sacrifice over and above their normal tithes and to earmark those gifts for the Expansion. Please pray that we will all keep our commitments in this area and that each member will seek to make a generous sacrifice toward this need. This is not really about increasing the value of the building, although it may do that. This expansion project is about increasing our capacity to make disciples that love God and share His love with the world. Undoubtedly, an elevator will allow many who are hindered by the stairs to come under the sound of the Gospel.
Let us be people of prayer for our families, our community, and our church.
God bless you,
Dr. Tony Hart, Pastor

Angel On My Shoulder
An angel came to minister to Daniel. The presence of God's messenger drew his attention. Daniel might have sensed an added measure of strength and protection. I've got an angel on my shoulder!
"Don't be afraid, Daniel,' he said to me, 'for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your prayers were heard. I have come because of your prayers. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for 21 days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me after I had been there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the last days, for the vision refers to those days (Daniel 10:12-14 HCS)."
Daniel's prayers were heard by God; personal revelation followed. Evil forces delayed the angelic encounter, but could not halt it. Do you seek God's will, need answers to difficult questions? Whisper a prayer, and do not be surprised if you feel an angel on your shoulder!

MBF Expansion Reaches New Milestones!!
During our Anniversary we asked our members to be faithful in their:
1. Evangelism: Via our focus on “Just One” - with each member to committing to personal
evangelism that can lead to the addition of just one new member.
2. Giving: Continuously to the Expansion fund with the focus of not equal giving but equal sacrifice
3. Prayer: Unceasing, focused prayer for wisdom and the overall Expansion effort
The vision for our Expansion effort is “Increasing our capacity to make disciples that love God and share His love with the world in Lansdale and the surrounding community” and since the start of the MBF Expansion, your faithfulness to evangelism, giving and prayer have been the core tenants of this effort. Since the start of the effort we have not realized full participation across the three tenants by each Montco member. However, our Lord has proven and continues to prove that He can do a lot with a little. Recent developments are tangible proof of this.
MBF has recently entered agreement with Weaver Construction to install an ADA compliant elevator. The elevator will now enable members who have temporary and permanent challenges with the stairs to have easy access to all floors within our current structure. In addition, the effort will include modification to our sound room and other cosmetic improvements.
Most recently we’ve entered into a purchasing agreement to buy the house next door. As some of you may know we’ve been back and forth regarding this property for a number of years but we’ve never had as favorable purchasing terms as we have available to us right now. Acquiring the building will provide more flexibility for ministry across the two buildings than we’ve ever been able to realize.
While the elevator and the new property require a significant investment; because of your faithfulness and even greater, God’s faithfulness, we are well-positioned financially to capitalize on these opportunities for the purpose of expanding our mission in “Lansdale and the surrounding” community.
As you read this article, please take a moment to be thankful for all that the Lord has done for Montco Bible Fellowship. In addition to thanking our Lord, we should also challenge ourselves by asking how each of us can be faithful in all three tenants of evangelism, giving and prayer. If we are faithful in just a few things, our Lord is sure to overwhelm us with His faithfulness.
Deacon Tony Henderson
